Lucas Digne says Goodison Park remains a 'loving place' for him following his first trip back to Everton as an opposition player.
The France international full-back was part of the Aston Villa side that won 1-0 at Goodison, the ground where he has spent the previous four years of his career at.
It is likely to have been a strange occasion for the 28-year-old, who was sold by Rafa Benitez during the January transfer window after the pair's relationship broke down.
Benitez was subsequently sacked by Everton, meaning Duncan Ferguson took caretaker control of the team for the game with Villa.

It was a game decided by Emiliano Buendia's header in first-half injury-time.
Following the goal, a bottle was thrown from the stands, and it appeared to hit Digne and fellow Villa full-back Matty Cash.
Merseyside Police have arrested a fan after they were identified by CCTV footage.
Despite the unsavoury moment, Digne has made clear he remains full of respect for Everton.
Sharing a message on social media after the match, he tweeted: "Amazing effort from the team. Important 3 points.
"It’s still [a] loving place for me I wish all the best for the season, Everton."
