Lucas Bergvall injury: Tottenham handed fresh injury concern after star pulls out of Sweden squad

Tottenham have been handed a fresh fitness concern after Lucas Bergvall was forced to pull out of the Sweden due to an injury.

The 18-year-old was an unused substitute for Sweden in their 2-2 draw against Slovakia on Friday but missed their 3-0 win in Estonia on Monday.

Bergvall has returned to Spurs and will now be assessed ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In a statement released on Monday, the Swedish national team said: "Lucas Bergvall has suffered a minor injury and will not be available for tonight's game against Estonia in the Nations League.

“Ahead of the match, it is clear that Bergvall will not be available for the game. He has left the collection to manage his rehabilitation in a club environment.”

Bergvall’s fitness will be a concern for Ange Postecoglou, who has been without Heung-min Son and Wilson Odobert recently.

Son did not feature of South Korea over the international break after missing the last two Spurs games due to a hamstring injury.
