Luca Bish has been teasing fans about his plans to finally make Gemma Owen his girlfriend.
The almost-couple are currently enjoying their first post-Love Island holiday in Algarve, Portugal together, as the fishmonger from Brighton finally meets Gemma's famous father, former England striker Michael Owen.
Despite finishing runners-up on the ITV2 show earlier this month, Luca, 23, and the dressage star, 19, are still yet to make things official and refer to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend respectively.
Following his public show of support for Gemma's business on Thursday - modelling some shorts from the teenager's swimwear line on Instagram - Luca has continued with his bid to become the celebrity offspring's official boyfriend.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Thursday night, the reality TV star shared a clip of himself and Gemma enjoying a romantic stroll together as they headed out for night out together in Portugal.
Dressed in a white T-shirt, dark jacket and Ray Ban sunglasses, Luca walked ahead of his possible-future girlfriend - who looked stunning in dark shades and a figure-hugging brown midi dress.
"Mission 'ask Gem to be my girlfriend' is in motion," the Brighton boy told his Instagram followers in the caption to the snippet.
In the brief video clip, Luca can be heard saying: "We're going for an evening stroll....with me girlfriend...PSYCH!"
Gemma - whose ex-boyfriend is fellow former Islander Jacques O'Neill - can be seen smirking and grinning, as she trails behind Luca as he films them during their walk in the sunshine.
The Love Island star and Michael Owen' s daughter are currently soaking up the sun together alongside the dressage star's famous family, after coming coming runners-up on the ITV2 show earlier this month.
Luca, 23, is said to have been introduced to Gemma's famous dad, 42, on Thursday August 11 – 10 days after leaving the Love Island villa with the 19-year-old on his arm.
The meeting comes following weeks of fan speculation about Luca's rumoured desire to meet Michael throughout the entire series of Love Island 2022 - missing out on the opportunity when the former Liverpool FC player didn't visit the villa during the Meet The Parents episode.
A source has told The Sun: "Luca has been nervous about meeting Michael which is, of course, totally natural.
"He adores Gemma and knows that he has to impress.
"They flew out from Gatwick this morning to spend time with him and Gemma’s mum at their private villa in Quinta Do Lago."
Gemma reportedly has no worries about her potential boyfriend impressing her dad - with the source adding she has "no doubt" things will go well.
Luca has already seemingly already impressed Gemma's mum Louise - revealing all about the seal of approval from Michael's childhood sweetheart in a recent Instagram Live with Gemma's ex-boyfriend Jacques.
When quizzed by his rugby player pal, who recently apologised following bullying claims, he joked: "Yeah mate, it's coming. I'm just waiting on written consent from her mum aren't I?"
Luca added: "Louise is lovely. Me and Gemma are good, I'm seeing her tonight – we're getting some food."
