Commuters in Dublin City faced traffic chaos this morning after a Luas derailed outside a busy train station.
The traffic incident at Heuston Station caused huge disruptions for the city's public transport.
It occurred on the Luas Red Line in the middle of the morning rush hour traffic.

Luckily, no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident, although Luas services have been severely impacted as a result.
A Luas statement was shared on Twitter regarding the incident, it read,
“Please be advised there is currently no Red Line services operating between Blackhorse and Connolly/The Point due to an incident at Heuston.
“Services are operating from Saggart/Tallaght to Blackhorse only at the moment. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Iarnrod Eireann confirmed the news, saying: "Due to a Luas breaking down outside of Heuston Station, there is currently no vehicular access to Heuston."
“Update: vehicular access to Heuston will be unavailable until further notice.
Intercity customers with bookings who are delayed as a result of this can travel on later services without charge.”
Iarnroid Eireann later revealed there would be changes to train services to and from Heuston on Saturday March 11th.
“Alterations to services to and from Heuston Station Saturday 11th March due to line improvement works“
The official Luas Twitter account said that all tickets for the broken down tram would be valid on Dublin Bus.
They explained: "All Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
There has been a spike in anti-social behaviour , in January a woman was left traumatised after being attacked by a group of teenage girls on the Luas.
In total, there were 6,943 reports of anti-social behaviour made by members of the public and tram staff to the Luas operator Transdev over the last five years.

Last August a 29-year-old also suffered serious head injuries in an attack at a Luas stop in George’s Dock., and a young man was left fighting for life with bleeding on his brain after being attacked at a Dublin Luas stop by up to 10 teens
The Luas introduced a text service where commuters can report incidents.
To report anti-social behaviour, text LUAS to 51444 with the tram no. and your location. Include a brief statement about the incident
