Add another big name to the 2024 NFL draft from the ranks of the underclassmen. LSU widebody defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo has announced he will forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the draft.
Wingo, all 6-1 and 295 pounds of him, is coming off a season that saw him produce 25 tackles a career-high 4.5 sacks in eight games for the Tigers. Wingo is generally projected as a Day 2 prospect ahead of athletic testing and interviews.
Wingo announced his decision via a social media post in which he gave considerable credit to several LSU coaches, as well as his mom.
