For people that love a good offensive showdown, LSU – Alabama was one for the ages.
For people who prefer a defensive battle, there wasn’t much of it to go around for either Tigers or Crimson Tide as the game turned into a touchdown fest.
LSU defensive coordinator Matt House got caught by the CBS broadcast looking exasperated in the coaching box over his team’s inability to slow down Alabama’s offense on the night.
While it helped that LSU’s offense was matching Alabama’s stride-for-stride, it didn’t help that neither defense looked up to the challenge to do much to stop this fireworks display in Tuscaloosa.

Poor House. Sometimes, all you can do is throw your hands up and wonder how on Earth you’re going to slow down something as historically high-powered as Alabama’s offense at home.
While this Crimson Tide offense isn’t even that ferocious compared to teams’ past, it was a tough task on Saturday for LSU to do much defending.
House’s reaction did a better job summing it up than we ever could.
