New Delhi: The phase-4 polling for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh began this morning at 7 and is expected to continue till 6pm, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The places where the voting is going on Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Dhaurahara, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kanpur, Kannauj, Akbarpur and Bahraich.
However all eyes are on Kannauj seat where the Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav is in the fray.
There are a total of 2 crore 47 lakh 47 thousand 27 voters in this phase, of which 1 crore 31 lakh 82 thousand 341 are males, 1 crore 15 lakh 63 thousand 739 are females and 947 are of third gender.
Akhilesh and Neelam were the first voters at the Bholanath Dharamshala polling booth in Kannauj city. A total of 19 lakh 82 thousand 589 voters are going to elect their leader from here.
There are 364 observers and 4661 flying squads to monitor the elections. Apart from these, 4438 static surveillance teams are also keeping an eye on the elections.
