Police have named the father and his two-year-old son who died in a crash involving multiple vehicles in Nottinghamshire.
John Woodcock, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, known as Dan to his family and friends, and his two-year-old son Lewis died in hospital following the collision on Chesterfield Road North in Mansfield.
The crash happened close to the junction with Pleasley Hill just after 6.10pm on Saturday, January 15.
Three cars are believed to have been involved in the incident as police continue to investigate what happened.
Mr Woodcock and Lewis had already been named locally, and colleagues of Mr Woodcock, who ran Herbie's Hemp, a planet friendly waste shop within the Idlewells Indoor Market Hall in Sutton-in-Ashfield, have paid tribute.
The 44-year-old has been described as a 'lovely person and lovely character'.
A fundraising page set up to help cover funeral costs has already surpassed its target.
Detective Inspector Clare Gibson, of Nottinghamshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with their family who continue to be provided with support by specialist officers at this difficult time.
"We continue to investigate the full circumstances and our appeal for information remains.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dash-cam footage is urged to please get in touch."
The driver of one of the other vehicles was also taken to hospital where he remains.
His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
