Neighbours said they had "never seen anything like it" after a man was killed in a hit-and-run at the end of their street.
On Thursday, April 13, were called to reports a dark-coloured Audi S8 had crashed into a house on Morgan Mews in Netherton at around 9.05pm. At the scene, police, ambulance and fire service crews found a man had also been hit by a car.
Officers have now confirmed that the man, in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man who was driving the car, which is suspected to have been stolen during a previous burglary, ran away on foot.

When the ECHO visited the scene this morning a large cordon was still in place with a heavy police presence in the area. The small community around Morgan Mews had been rocked by the news.
One woman told the ECHO: "I heard police sirens going past and just ignored it. It wasn't not until I came into my kitchen that I saw a lot of police cars and flashing lights.
"Everyone was outside and then I found out that a car had crashed into my neighbour's house over the road. I did not know anything else until I woke up this morning."
Merseyside police previously reported that the car involved was a dark-coloured BMW. However, they later confirmed that it was an Audi S8. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene and a structural assessor will decide if the property is structurally sound and safe.
The neighbour, who has lived in Morgan Mews for 27 years, said: "We have not been able to see the couple whose house was it but they are lovely people and will be devastated by what has happened. It is a close-knit place and we look out for each other, it is a shock I've never seen anything like this at all around here before."
Detective Inspector Colin Rennison said: "We are in the very early stages of establishing the circumstances of this incident. Officers are currently at the scene and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out. We will also be checking CCTV and smart doorbell footage from the area in a bid to identify the male who was driving the vehicle.
"We are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen a dark-coloured Audi S8 being driven in the area before the collision occurred. Any information you have, however small you may think it is, could prove to be vital to our enquiries.
