'Lovely' bride-to-be who died in crash had just 'lost her mum'

Tributes have flooded in for a "lovely" mum who was killed in a car crash.

Sarah Kirsty Lumb, 42, from Southport, was pronounced dead after emergency services arrived at the scene of a car crash at around 8.25am on North Moor Lane in Halsall on Monday, October 17. Lancashire Police shut the road for a number of hours while carrying out enquiries.

Sarah's family are being supported by specially trained officers. Her devastated daughter, Jess, paid tribute to her mum, who said she put "everything and everyone before herself".

She said: "She was an amazing, compassionate and loving mother, who will be dearly missed. Sarah played many roles as well as being a mother.

"She was a person who put everything and everyone before herself.. She was the glue that held everyone together, and for that I am thankful to call her my mother.”

Sarah’s fiancé Chris, said: “Sarah was a beautiful, amazing mother, sister and partner, there is a whole in our life that can never be repaired. Love you and miss you like crazy. Until we meet again, Chris.”

Sarah’s younger brother Anthony, said: “My beautiful big sis. You have always been there for me from day one, until now, you can finally be at ease and be with our mum looking down at all of us, I'm going to miss you so much sis. Love you forever your little bro Anthony.”

Since the news of her death, hundreds of people have paid tribute to the mum on social media.

Kathryn Taylor posted: "Very sad to hear the news about Sarah Kirsty Lumb so soon after she lost her mum, my thoughts are with her family and children xx"

Natalie Jones said: "Omg am so saddened on such tragic news what an amazing hardworking mother you were and such a lovely person inside out. Thoughts are with all you family at this sad time RIP Sarah Kirsty Lumb GBNF."

Emma Lawless said: "She was lovely. Always made me laugh when I saw her. Very sad for her family. Rip."

A work friend said: "Oh Sarah I can't believe your gone, you were a good friend, work mate and a brilliant carer. I loved working with you at Alex and again in the community, sending all my love to your family RIP love xxx"

A life long friend said: "Still cannot believe this! Such a lovely woman known her since I was 11, always smiling and always there for her kids. You’ll be missed Sarah now be with your mum."

Another former work colleague said: "Oh Sarah, this is truly heartbreaking. I had the privilege of working alongside you at Alexandra House.. May you rest in peace Sarah. My thoughts are with Chris and all your lovely family xxx"
