Love was in the air as Brits hit the town up and down the country to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Monday night.
It might have been a freezing night but with Covid restrictions easing many people braced themselves and headed out for a romantic night.
There were hundreds of loved-up party-goers on the streets of Birmingham while many more were out looking for love on the special night for couples.
While many may have chosen to spend the night at home with the love of their lives, others set out with the hope that Cupid’s arrow could hit.
Others were just out for a good time with plenty of themed events at clubs in towns and cities.
There were people in fancy dress and others looking elegant as they made a special effort for Valentine’s Day.
One man entered into the Valentine’s Day spirit as he was seen heading down the street with a giant balloon in the shape of lips.
Celebrities have taken to social media to also show themselves enjoying a special day with their loved ones.
From Man City star Jack Grealish to Hollywood stars they have been on Instagram showing how they have spent February 14.
And a new Valentine's Day snap from Princess Eugenie has sent Royal fans into a frenzy at the adorable picture.
Sharing the image on her Instagram page, the photograph showed Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank celebrating the day of love.
One image on her social media showed the couple under a cherry blossom tree, surrounded by pink petals.
In the picture, Princess Eugenie can be seen smiling as her husband seems to be shaking a branch, causing petals to fall over them, with the caption reading: "Happy Valentine's Day".
The photograph marks the couple's fourth Valentine's Day together since they first married at St George's chapel, in Windsor, in October 2018.
In the years since, the pair welcomed their one-year-old son August, who they are raising at Frogmore Cottage, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously lived.
Fans were head over heels in love with the Valentine's snap, with one commenting: "So beautiful! Happy Valentine's Day" reports the Express.
Another wished a good day to the Royal couple, saying: "Happy Valentine's Day Eugenie and Jack."
It comes after Eugenie was spotted watching the Super Bowl alongside her cousin Prince Harry, which led to some thinking she still might be in California.
