Loved up Edinburgh wedding couple cover venue scaffolding with touching message

An Edinburgh venue has covered the scaffolding work with a huge sign displaying a sweet message ahead of a couple's wedding day that will be held there this weekend.

The couple who are preparing to tie the knot on Saturday, April 22 at Picardy Place, had expected the scaffolding work to be long gone before the big day came around but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Instead of letting that kill the mood before their upcoming nuptials, the local couple decided to think outside of the box and contacted advertisers to get a bespoke banner made to transform the building.

The massive sign reflects what the building should have looked like without scaffolding and has an eye-catching sign that reads: "You've got the love" in gigantic letters for anyone in the Greenside area to see.

Kayleigh MacAllister who is involved in planning the wedding explained: "Jonny and Victoria arranged it. They had hoped to have the scaffolding removed for their wedding day which is being held in the venue.

"Unfortunately, this wasn’t going to be possible so the advertising agency changed the frontal covering to look like the original building and incorporated the wedding sign."

The happy couple getting married on Saturday are Victoria Kulczycki and Jonny Lonie.

Local businesswoman behind the Edinburgh Gossip Girls group EGG spotted the sign and shared a picture writing: "I thought this was a new bar opening…got up closer and realised it’s an impending nuptials sign! Love it."

The couple will be married this Saturday at Picardy Place with KDM Event Styling and Floral Design managing all the event styling and Guilianos is involved in all the prep planning and catering.
