Manchester United fans were delighted with the international link-up between Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo after the former scored Portugal's opener.
The United pair were up against North Macedonia in a 2022 World Cup qualifier and wasted no time in taking the lead. A sublime one-two between the club and international teammates saw Ronaldo play in Fernandes, who found the back of the net with a composed finish. The duo celebrated together as a sign that they can work together.
Much has been made of Ronaldo and Fernandes allegedly failing to combine at Old Trafford over the course of the season and fingers have pointed towards the former Real Madrid star as to why Fernandes' goal output has decreased this season. However, the combination worked on the international stage to give A Seleção the lead.

United fans took to social media to revel in the delight of the goal, pointing out that the two can work together and any notion of either being selfish on the ball was far from the truth.
United are back in action on Saturday when they host Leicester City on the day's late kick-off. When the two teams met earlier this season, both Fernandes and Ronaldo completed the 90 minutes but were unable to prevent their side from losing 4-2.
