'Love it' - Manchester United fans rave as 2023/2024 season home shirt 'leaked' online

Manchester United's home shirt for the 2023/2024 season has supposedly been 'leaked' online.

The shirt, which was posted on Twitter by @TheUtdLatest on Tuesday, looks to have done away with the buttoned collar of this season's home kit opting instead for a v-neck which is mainly black with a red and white trim. There also looks to be a feint geometric print across the shirt.

The video is in line with previous reports from Footy Headlines which suggested the new United kit would have a v-neck collar similar to that of most World Cup teams - the first time they have returned to such a style since the 2018/2019 campaign.

What has remained from this season's shirt are the black stripes that run down the sleeve from the collar, but at the bottom of the sleeve is a similar finish to the collar with black and white trim.

The 'leaked' shirt in its current form does include the TeamViewer front of shirt sponsor from this season, although that could change by the time of official release. An initial five-year partnership worth £47million per year was due to run until 2026.

However, a "mutually-beneficial agreement" with the German company allows an option of buying back the rights to the shirt sponsorship, which could then be sold on to another interested party.

Fans have responded to the reportedly leaked design on social media, here's what a few of them had to say:

@MMittente: Eish same design...nothing surprising

@JChalmers88: Love it

@33jdw: I think this is clean. I know some people gonna complain for the sake of it though

@DaveDizzle10: Probably best-looking kit since Nike AIG or the checkered AON.. but still a mid kit unfortunately :/

@delgermat: So this is the kit we are winning the league with

Another report from Footy Headlines, who have a strong track record of leaking genuine kits, said that United's kit would officially be released sometime around July or August, potentially in line with their pre-season tour of the US.
