Love Islanders ranked by most lucrative post-dating show business ventures

While love is in the name, some more cynical viewers might say that Love Island is a springboard to a career as an influencer or reality TV star, rather than a genuine search for love.

Whether this is true or not, it's certainly clear that some ex-Islanders have gone on to build impressive businesses - and earned plenty of cash in the process. From fashion to real estate, Islanders have pursued various paths to build their own companies.

A new report from SeedLegals, who analysed earnings listed on Companies House, has revealed which contestants are earning the most from their business empires, as reported by the Sun. Overall, the data shows that contestants from season four own the most profitable ventures combined.

Molly-Mae Hague - £2m

Molly-Mae Hague, 23, made quite the impression on Season Five and has since cemented her place as the most successful Love Island contestant ever.

With four companies registered in her name, she has made an enormous £2 million from her businesses., including a fake tan brand called Filter by Molly-Mae. Outside of her own businesses, she also works as the Creative Director at Pretty Little Thing and has a collaboration with Body Works.

Despite being the most successful Islander, Molly-Mae hasn't always been the most popular, receiving harsh criticism from fans last year when she claimed everyone could be successful as "we all have the same 24 hours in a day". She also claimed that Love Island was not the reason for her success.

Kem Cetinay - £700k

Winner of Love Island Season Three, Kem Cetinay has started two businesses since leaving the show, earning him a whopping £698,624.

The 26-year-old launched his own fashion collection in partnership with Primark, while also making money from Array, his Essex-based restaurant. A Cote de Boeuf meal at the eatery costs £62, while their most expensive bottle of wine goes for no less than £540.

Other Love Island stars have visited the eatery, including Amber Gill and last year's Love Island winners Liam Reardon and Millie Court.

Kaz Crossley - £390k

Season Four bombshell Kaz Crossley has continued making waves since leaving the show in 2018. She translated her passion for fitness and beauty into her four businesses, including the headwear brand KazBands. Prices for the products, including a kids line, range from £6.49 to £13.99.

Kaz has also been an ambassador for Boohoo and released a fitness collection called KAZ x FIT, alongside her own swimwear range with George at Asda. All in all, these ventures have earned her a hefty £387,000.

Alexandra Cane - £330k

Although Alexandra Cane, 31, only appeared in Season Four briefly, she's made a decent chunk of cash from her time on the show. Her two successful businesses have generated profits of about £331,786.

The make-up artist now, runs an activewear company called MILA, selling items like a £65 windbreaker jacket. She also owns the secondhand-clothing company Reliked, which sells celeb-owned garments from stars like Yazmine Oukhellou, Anna Vakili, Yewande Biala, and Chloe Sims.

Sam Gowland - £285k

Season Three's Sam Gowland's business might not be as well-known as some others on this list, but it's still earning him the big bucks.

Since leaving the Villa, the 26-year-old has dived into a lot of pursuits, including becaming a cast member of Geordie Shore, dating Chloe Ferry, and even giving MMA fighting a go.

It's property company S Gowland Properties that has earned him over £285,000, building luxury mansions with built-in cinemas and bars.

Amber Gill - £264k

24-year-old Amber Gill, 24, has arguably never truly left the Villa, sharing witty observations about Love Island seasons after her own on Twitter.

When she's not tweeting, the Season Five winner has made an impressive £264,000 from a million-pound collaboration with Miss Pap and her romantic fiction book, Until I Met You.

Wes Nelson - £260k

Wes Nelson has pursued a career in music after leaving the show's 2018 series, where he came in fourth place with Megan Barton Hanson.

The Newcastle lad has released a string of singles, including See Nobody with Hardy Caprio and Fly Away featuring US rapper French Montana. Wes also has two businesses under his name: WN Property Investment Limited and WN Events Limited. Together, they are worth a whopping £262,110.

Dani Dyer was the most famous contestant on Season Four, with EastEnders actor Danny Dyer being her father and has gone on to capitalise on the star-studded connection by starting a podcast with her dad, Sorted with the Dyers. The pair offer their witty takes on a number of topics.

Her broadcasting business, I Want It, I Got It, is worth an impressive £260,945, with its activities are listed on Company's House as "television programming and broadcasting".

Megan Barton Hanson - £260k

Megan Barton-Hanson, 28, will go down in Love Island history as one of the most explosive bombshells ever to step into the Villa. Since then, she has reportedly become a millionaire by earning money on explicit subscription site OnlyFans.

She first joined the site during the first lockdown in March 2020 and was able to buy her first house later that same year. Her business, MBH Productions now has over £256,000 in reserves.

Josh Denzel - £250k

Series four's Josh Denzel, 31, has two companies registered in his name, with a combined worth a huge £251,000. Josh had a career as a sports presenter before going on the dating show and has dived back in where he left off since then.

Creating content for big brands such as EA, Adidas and Virgin Music, Josh also hosted the Lions' Den show from England's St George's Park base and interviewed some of the biggest names in the squad including Bukayo Saka and Luke Shaw.
