The cast of ITV’s new game show, called The Games, has been unveiled and it contains a Love Islander, an influencer, a pop star and more.
A total of 12 celebs will be taking part to compete against each other in a range of challenges including track events and in the swimming pool on the new ITV series.
Cameras will show the team member being trained and coached by professionals and then competing against each other in the hopes of bagging medals.
While all the action will be presided over by presenters Holly Willoughby, Alex Scott and Freddie Flintoff – with commentary coming via football legend Chris Kamara.
Love Island star Olivia Attwood, influencer – and daughter of Spice Girls star Mel B – Phoenix Brown, song writer Chelcee Grimes, model Christine McGuiness, newsreader Lucrezia Millarini and Emmerdale star Rebecca Sarker will all be taking part.
While a team of boys will consist of Strictly star Kevin Clifton, The Wanted’s Max George, Harry Potter actor Josh Herdman, Corrie star Colson Smith, Love Island’s Wes Nelson and ex-Corrie star Ryan Thomas.
ITV announced: “The six male and six female competitors will battle it out in the athletics arena, the swimming pool, gymnasium and velodrome.
“Each will put their sporting prowess to the test in events from the 100-meter sprint to diving, racking up points on the medals table.
“As well as live coverage of the events, each episode will feature the celebrities' preparation as they’re taught the sports from scratch by some of the UK’s top coaches.
“Following their gruelling training programme leading up to the competition, as they aim to reach their peak physical condition.
“As the leader board takes shape with each night, the series will culminate in an exhilarating final showdown in which one male champion and one female champion will be crowned.”
The Games has already been causing plenty of drama during the filming sessions as Mark Wright was intended to be a part of the show – before he sensationally quit after a couple of days of filming.
Reports have suggested he is now blacklisted by the network after he reportedly announced his intention to quit via text message.
But Mark himself has insisted this was not the case – and urged fans to believe his version of events instead.
The 35-year-old wrote via social media earlier this month: "Refrained from commenting on this nonsense story for over a week because it's nonsense and there's plenty much more important stories to worry about in the world.
"Because it's constantly being repeated, here's my comment. I'm absolutely not banned from ITV, in fact I'm doing a show for ITV three months from now.
"The show that 'I quit' hadn't even signed a contract for!
"I 'called' the producer not text to tell her I'd had a change of heart on the show because I realised I'd had too many other commitments already to make it work.
"The media outlet who wrote this are not to blame. They can only believe what the person who is making this up is telling them."
