Love Island winners finally arrive home - and can't keep their hands off each other

Love Island's Kai and Sanam looked smitten as they arrived home with their co-stars.

The series winners bagged a cool £50,000 after winning the show and put on a sweet display of affection at Cape Town airport.

In one snap, Kai can be seen with his arms around his beau, who has a smile a mile wide.

Also at the airport were Ron and Lana, who came second in Monday night's finale.

They shared a joke as they held their suitcases and were also joined by Samie, Tanya and Shaq.

Kai and Sanam marked a show first for the dating series, with many commenting that it was "history making".

Sanam became the first ever Casa Amor bombshell to win the show, as she and Kai stormed to victory during the live finale.

Viewers were delighted the couple had won, and hoped they would be the winners out of the four remaining couples.

Speaking about her love for her man, Sanam said: "You charmed me with your smile and melted me with your warm brown eyes. I was hooked by your intelligence, values, kindness and you always manage to make me laugh.

"You’ve made me realise my worth and I can’t wait for us to one day be official.

While Kai gushed: "My time here has been a dream since I met you. Sanam, you’re one of a kind and I’m so happy to have you in my life because I adore you and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us."

Meanwhile, Lana said: Ron, when I walked through the Villa doors and saw your cheeky smile, I knew it was you and only you. There has been something missing in my life and that’s you."

He replied:"You’re an angel that never puts a foot wrong and you tick every single box. When I look at you, I feel whole, like my life is complete."

As host Maya Jama announced the winners on Monday, viewers celebrated on Twitter, saying the right couple won.

Meanwhile other fans realised the win marked a series first for the show, despite it having had nine series.

While Casa Amor was introduced to the show in series three back in 2017 the series has never seen a Casa Amor bombshell win the show.

Bombshells and late arrivals have won the series on a few occasions, but no one from the famous Casa arrivals has been as successful.
