Love Island winner Paige Turley lands record deal and is set to release debut single this week

Scots Love Island winner Paige Turley has revealed that she has signed a record deal and will be releasing her debut single this week.

The 22 year-old told her followers that she will be unveiling her own cover of the Artful Dodger classic Movin' Too Fast and was looking forward to being able to perform again soon.

Posting on Instagram, Paige from West Lothian, said she was so excited to finally share her big news. She said: "V excited about this, had the opportunity to collaborate with  @thehouseandgarageorchestra  on this dance classic! The orchestra are made up of 36 AMAZING musicians.. I seriously cannot wait to perform it live with these guys!
"It’s gonna be out on Friday the 17th of July and will be available on pre order this week!"

Speaking to The Mirror, Paige opened up about her singing career and how releasing a song has always been a dream of hers.

She said: "Before Love Island I sang at weddings and things, but even from a really young age I was always asking to go to theatre school – it was any excuse to sing.

"I couldn’t be more excited. It was such a quick turnaround. We moved into our new flat a few weeks ago and the day after that I went into the recording studio. We’ve been literally listening to my single on repeat. We have Sonos speakers and Finn just plays it over and over."

She added: "Dance music has been a big thing for me. I’ve always wanted to have a song that people will be like, ‘Oh, this is a tune!’ That’s the ultimate goal."

And this isn't the first time Paige has tried to get on to the music scene – those with sharp memories for talent show acts might remember her on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2012, where she impressed the judges with her voice, Simon Cowell telling her she was ‘absolutely fantastic’ no less.

Sadly BGT didn’t kick-start her career, but after she sang Show Me Love to her fellow Islanders in the South African villa, people took notice.

And now she has her vocals on a remix of dance track Movin’ Too Fast with The House & Garage Orchestra which is out out this week.

Paige bagged the £50,000 top prize along with new boyfriend Finn Tapp, beating favourites Siânnise Fudge and Luke T, back in February n the first ever winter edition of Love Island in South Africa.

The couple will remain the crowned winners for longer than they initially expected as the summer version of the show has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
