Love Island winner Davide Sanclimenti set up second-hand car firm before joining show

Love Island’s hunky winner Davide Sanclimenti is on a nice little earner flogging second-hand motors.

The Italian stallion with impressive bodywork got plenty of fans’ engines running but now would like to actually get them on the road in cars he sells.

We can reveal the entrepreneur, 27, may be less the budding European tycoon and more like Arthur Daley from the comedy series Minder.

Like Daley, played by George Cole, Davide is not short of confidence.

Before entering the Love Island villa, he modestly declared: “I’m good looking and I’ve realised since I first arrived in Manchester, a lot of English girls actually love me.

"They love to be around me and I love to be around them.”

Although there were plenty of bumps in the road on his Love Island journey to victory with show partner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

Documents at Companies House show Davide, who lives in Manchester, is the sole director of Privet Motors Ltd set up in October.

Its business is described as the “sale of used cars and light motor vehicles”.

Davide’s LinkedIn profile boasts of his degree in finance and banking and he is in good company with his career in sales.

George Clooney once flogged life insurance and Johnny Depp used to hawk ballpoint pens.

Davide also runs a shisha firm, providing hookah products to restaurants and nightclubs.

On Monday he and Ekin-Su, 27, scooped £50,000 by winning the eighth series of the ITV2 series, beating Luca Bish, 23, and Gemma Owen, 19.

Davide and Ekin-Su skipped the finalists’ afterparty this week, instead opting for dinner at London restaurant Hakkasan and a trip to celeb haunt Soho House.

The pair are said to be juggling hundreds of offers from brands to secure lucrative deals.

As Minder’s Dennis Waterman almost put it in the theme tune: “I could be so good for Su.”

Love Island: The Reunion, Sunday night, 9pm, ITV2
