Love Island viewers praise Will Young after farmer receives backlash

Will Young's early days on Love Island haven't gone as smoothly as the farmer would have liked away from the villa - but some fans appear to be warming to him.

The TikTok famous farmer, 23, has brought an intense energy to the South African villa, making him a popular housemate among fellow islanders.

But his actions have often already left viewers at home fuming - none more so than his "criminal dancing" which left those at home begging for him to sit down.

However, despite the backlash from some angles for his behaviour so far, others are here for the hunk.

One Twitter user, sharing a video of Will from messing around pre-villa on TikTok couldn't hide their allegiances and said: "Sorry I might actually be team Will he's so unserious i love it #LoveIsland"

Another was also on board, adding: "i’m sorry there’s no way you can hate will IM CRYING LOOL #LoveIsland #TALKSWITHASH," alongside a clip of his fire pit dancing.

A third hit back at another user's claims he should be nowhere near the villa, saying: "Sorry but he's my favourite, his tiktok is hilarious #LoveIsland #will"

And a fourth piped up: "Sorry but I like Will. He’s funny #LoveIsland"

On Tuesday evening fans watched on as new arrival Tom Clare looked to make his mark and impress the girls. As this year's contestants were tasked with snogging other Islanders, it became apparent that Will wasn't impressed with Tom's choice, as he opted to kiss Olivia Hawkins, who is currently paired with the farmer.

The cameras were quick to show Will making an awkward face as the pair puckered up. Tom's arrival, as voted for by the public, left the boys worried early on as they realised they could lose their girl.

And his advances on the brunette mean that Will could be heading for an early exit after he chose to couple up with her.

It means that if the farmer doesn't manage to woo one of the other girls, he could find himself on an early plane back to Blighty.

Elsewhere, fans were quick to praise Tanya as she swerved Shaq's request for a kiss. The model instead insisted that he would have to wait before they go any further.

Model Tanya, 22, and airport security officer Shaq, 24, have been coupled up since Monday's opening episode after catching each other's attention from the get go.

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9PM on ITV2.
