Love Island viewers howl with laughter as islander forgets couple’s name

With the latest series of Love Island kick-starting on Monday evening (6 June), the latest batch of sexy singletons are still in the early days of getting to know each other. However, one particular islander appears not to have even learned the name of her new couple.

Indiyah Polack was paired up with Ikenna Ekwonna on the opening episode. This came after ITV producers revealed a change to the format as it was the public who determined the first set of couples rather than the boys choosing as was previously the case.

While many of the islanders have been keen to reveal all to their partner, Indiyah has appeared to be somewhat distant from the opening two episodes. That proved evident during the opening stages of Love Island’s second episode on Tuesday.

When speaking to a fellow islander, she tried to talk about her male counterpart but completely drew a blank with regards to his name. Indiyah appeared to get stuck, not being able to get past the “Ik” part of his name.

Viewers took to Twitter to showcase their amusement of the situation. @SuSumBin exclaimed: “NOOOO INDIYAH DOESN'T KNOW HIS NAME LOLLOOO #loveisland” while @Rinna_ririii said: “Sis doesn’t even know his name #LoveIsland.”

@Hannah_L77 added: “Not them forgetting Ikenna’s name.” @missyszn also said “wait Indiyah doesn’t know the name of the boy she’s coupled up with? Safe” and @reems30 asked: “SHE SAID THE WRONG NAMEEEEEEE HOW CAN SHE NOT KNOW HIS NAME????????”
