Love Island got off to a dramatic start this evening, with viewers horrified to see Luca Bish appear to brush partner Gemma Owen away at one point.
Fans of the ITV2 show took to social media to blast the fishmonger for appearing to brush past Gemma as she spoke to new arrival Adam Collard during the opening scenes of tonight's show.
Luca, alongside the other boys, arrived back in the Villa to see dressage star Gemma chatting to hunky Adam by the pool.
As the lads introduced themselves to the Geordie comeback star, Gemma tried to embrace her partner - only for Luca to brush her off.
"I don’t know how anyone can defend Luca anymore.. how’s he just shoved Gemma out the way like that? #LoveIsland," one angry viewer took to Twitter to muse during the show.
"NAH the way Luca just shoved past Gemma I would be done with him!!!! Do you think the guy I’m chatting to could move like that! Goodbye #LoveIsland," another ranted, with a third adding: "Luca literally shoved Gemma because she was talking to Adam … TALKING to adam. Get him out next pls #LoveIsland."
Another critical tweet reads: "Nah, Luca is a walking red flag. From day 1 he hasn't stopped moaning & everytime Gemma as much as looks at another bloke, he has this defeatist moany whiny attitude. #LoveIsland."
"Luca is a d***head...a walking red flag if you want me to be completely honest...the amount of women who don't see it is maaad.." one Love Island fan declared on Twitter after the awkward exchange.
The drama is set to continue throughout the episode as Jacques O'Neill 's departure from the Villa is set to be explained later this evening.
The rugby player's exit from the Love Island villa was announced prior to tonight's show airing, just hours after show legend Adam made a sensational comeback and set his sights on Paige Thorne.
"Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa," a spokesperson for Love Island said earlier today. "He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."
Many fans have predicted Jacques called it quit with the reality TV show due to Adam's arrival.
"Noooo Adam Collard really did intimidate Jacques out the door. Legend status tbh #LoveIsland," one fan quipped on Twitter before the show kicked off this evening, with another agreeing as they wrote: "Adam isn’t even a love island legend he’s like love island mythology #LoveIsland."
"i have to tell my grandchildren about adam collard," another joked as the news of Jacques' departure broke on Tuesday afternoon.
