Love Island viewers were all left asking the same question after the episode that aired on Thursday, July 28: When will the Islanders meet each other's parents? During the episode, some of the Islanders went on their final date of the series. The popular ITV2 dating show is set to end on Monday, August 1.
During the episode Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne, set sail aboard a boat with partner, Adam Collard. And during the date, Paige and Adam discussed their feelings for one another. He told her: “I tried to play it cool, but it didn't work out at all. It lasted 24 hours, if that,” to which she replied, “We’re both done playing it cool?”
The pair also discussed meeting each other’s parents. Adam said: “I’m excited for you to meet the fam. I actually know they’ll love you so much. Family is a big part of me. I know what they’d feel about you anyway.” Meanwhile, Paige told him: “I feel the same about my parents. They’ll be rooting for you for sure.” The conversation prompted viewers to ask when Love Island's annual parent-meeting episode will air. One person said, writing on Twitter: "When are we gonna meet the parents #loveisland," accompanied by a gif of a girl screaming in frustration that the series had yet to air the episode. Meanwhile, a second person said: "Can’t wait for the meet the parents episode."

In a similar vein, another person said: "Can we speed this along and get the meet the parents episode please." In previous years, a few days before the end of the series, the Islanders' parents are welcomed into the villa. This year in particular, viewers have been keen to find out whether Gemma Owen's father, footballer Michael Owen, would be involved. You can read more about that here.
Luca and Gemma's relationship has continually prompted a mixed reaction on social media. Commenting on this, someone wrote: "Wonder if Luca and Gemma's date will be before the meet the parents. If it is then Luca will be sat there in a mood that they're not official." Another person said: "Can we just skip to the parents bit so we can see Gemma’s mum make Luca cry."

Speculating on when the episode would air, someone said: "So Sunday is parents ep then?"
