Love island viewers all saying the same thing about Irish lad's awkward confession

The new season of Love Island kicked off tonight and one Irish contestant on the show got everyone talking.

Dami Hope, a 26-year-old microbiologist from Dublin, was the first man to enter the villa on Monday night.

And he certainly made an impression on viewers at home as he shared a little too openly about his ‘love stick’.

In his opening montage, the Irish hunk said: “Basically I have this gift or something. I have this birthmark shaped heart on my p***s.

“And usually the way it goes, whenever I tell a girl I have that they don’t believe me - and then I show them.”

“I call it my love stick,” he joked.

The awkward confession inspired a series of hilarious memes online as Love Island fans joked about how his parents would react to watching

One person wrote: "Heart shape where? Dami we didn’t need to hear that- #loveisland"

A second added: "Right Dami boy no need for that piece of info xx #LoveIsland"

A third said: "Not the “love stick”, the irish were rooting for you dami #loveisland"

And a fourth shared a meme of a man watching TV with his hands behind his back, writing: "Dami’s parents watching him talk about his love stick #LoveIsland"

The popular reality show started off with a twist in the first episode which usually sees the Islanders choose who they ‘couple up’ with.

This year ITV2 producers asked the general public to 'play Cupid' and the pairs were voted on via the app last week.

Host Laura Whitmore broke the news to the Islanders and revealed that Dami and Amber, a 24-year-old nanny from London, had been chosen as the first couple by the public.
