Viewers of tonight's premiere of ITV's Love Island series nine have been blown away by Maya Jama's entrance onto Britain's most beloved dating show.
It marks a first for television host Maya, from Bristol, who is fronting the 2023 series after taking over from Laura Whitmore after she left last year.
Maya shared a snap on Instagram earlier which revealed there were nerves under the confident exterior, stating she "hopes to make fans proud' on her on-screen Love Island debut.

Well, judging by the reaction of the devoted viewers it seems the girl from Cotham has already slotted right into place, with many saying she is a 'perfect fit' for the programme.

Being based in sunny Franschhoek in South Africa, known for its wineyards and relaxing pastoral scenery, this series looks sure to provide an escape from the January gloom almost 10,000 miles away.
The ten single twenty-somethings will be jetting off to the villa for a chance to find 'the one' and get their hands on the £50,000 jackpot.
