Love Island’s twins have been pulled apart after Eve Gale became the first islander to be dumped from the winter villa.
She was eliminated from the ITV2 show after being left without a partner following a tense recoupling on Friday night.
In a brutal twist, Nas Majeed was forced to choose between Eve and her twin sister Jess.
His decision prompted gasps from the islanders gathered around the Cape Town villa’s fire pit. After, Eve urged her sister to continue on the show.
She sobbed as she told her: “You know I want you to try. I don’t want you to walk away with me.”
Jess said of their bond: “I don’t think anyone understands. I don’t think people understand. It’s not like a friend or a sister – it’s so strong.”
Semi-professional footballer Finley Tapp, who was a late arrival to the villa, chose to couple up with Paige Turley, who was left single after her ex-partner Ollie Williams quit the villa this week.
His exit came soon after a petition was launched online to have him removed from the villa after photos emerged which appeared to show him trophy-hunting, which he denied.
Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant Paige, who once dated Lewis Capaldi, made her move on Finley during a risque game of beer pong on Thursday.
During the game, she was dared to kiss the islander she fancied most, and chose Finley.
The other new boy, model Connagh Howard, chose Sophie Piper, stealing her from Connor Durman.
Connor told the group he felt he had been “snaked out” and that people had been “dishonest”, before choosing to couple up with Siannise Fudge.
Ahead of the recoupling, Finley admitted: “It’s a massive night, especially for us.”
Connagh agreed, saying: “Definitely. The pressure is on. I’m starting to feel it. My head’s a bit all over the place at the moment.”
The episode also saw the girls take part in the “booty camp” challenge, taking on an assault course in front of the boys.
The challenge saw them crawling under netting, running across tyres and popping balloons as the boys aimed hoses and threw water balloons at them.
At the end of the course, each girl chose to kiss the boy of their choice.
Sophie picked Connor over new love interest Connagh, and the boys chose Siannise as the winner of “booty camp”.
Love Island airs daily, apart from Saturdays, on ITV2 at 9pm.
