Love Island stars reel over brutal dumping result as couple axed days before final

Love Island aired another brutal dumping on Wednesday night, as a couple were kicked out of the villa with barely any warning.

After Tuesday night's episode saw the group gathered at the fire pit, they learned three couples, six Islanders, were at risk of being dumped then and there.

Two people left that night, while the results were not shown until Wednesday's episode of the ITV2 dating series.

As the episode began, Adam Collard and Paige Thorne, Danica Taylor and Jamie Allen and Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope all learned they were at risk.

On Wednesday night, a text message detailed which couple would be booted out of the villa immediately, and the Islanders were left reeling.

The result announced that Danica and Jamie were the unlucky couple, and would be leaving the show straight away.

As the result came in, there was shock amongst the other Islanders, and emotions were running high.

It was then time for the remaining couples to say their goodbyes, as they immediately ran over to hug Danica and Jamie seconds after the result.

It comes as fans hit out at the show after some of the usual or past challenges appeared to be missed from the current series.

While there's still days to go, fans feared that certain challenges had not made the cut - calling the tasks that did feature "boring".

Love Island producers have now reportedly confirmed that the fan favourite Twitter challenge in particular will not be returning to the ITV2 dating show this year, despite an apparent hint over the weekend.

The Online Buzz Twitter challenge sees the Islanders given tweets from ITV2 viewers and asks them to guess the names.

The challenge has previously created explosive scenes in the villa as the Love Island contestants learn the truth behind certain situations.

Over the weekend Love Island fans believed they had spotted a clue the challenge could soon be returning to screens, when the show’s official Twitter account added a disclaimer to its bio.

However, Love Island will reportedly not feature the popular challenge in the eight series, despite demand from eager fans of the show.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
