Love Island star Wes Nelson has shared his fury after a thief allegedly stole his £8,570 Louis Vuitton bag on the train.

The singer revealed the bag, which had “everything important in it”, was taken as the train stopped at Milton Keynes on Sunday.

The 26-year-old explained that the thief must have “slowly slid back” the bag, which Nelson had stored in the overhead luggage rack above his seat, before making off with it in a “split second”.

“My LV [Louis Vuitton] bag was just stolen on the train just as we stopped at Milton Keynes. Had everything important in it,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.

“I’m lucky I took my MacBook out before the journey. All my music would have been GONE.

“Anyway just a heads up, it took a split second to look away and that s**t was gone. Rats everywhere.”

Nelson then shared a photo of the luggage in the overhead rack and said it had been “pulled way back” when he wasn’t looking.

“Just clocked in this pic I sent earlier,” the Dancing On Ice star added.

“The bag has been pulled waaaay back to the seat behind me, the guy must have been slowly sliding it backwards whenever I looked down. Then quickly dipped at the first stop.”

He went on: “You know what’s mad, you always think there’s no way this s**t gonna happen to me without noticing first.

“But here we are. S**t. Also this is the first time I’ve ever used the overhead storage. Never again.”

The X Factor: Celebrity star then shared a photo of his colourful blue “Keepall 50B Landscape” bag, which featured a print of icy glaciers and a lake.

“I’ve got a reward for anyone who can get it back with contents,” he said.

Nelson shot to fame on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018 and has since been focusing on his music career.

The singer secured a record deal with EMI Records in 2020 in a “pinch me” moment.

"It’s something I’ve wanted to do my entire life. I think it’s that stamp of approval to say, ‘Yep, you’re a professional singer now,’” he told The Sun at the time.

"For me, it’s most definitely my biggest achievement in my entire life."

He has since collaborated with Craig David, with the duo performing their track Abracadabra in the Love Island villa last year in a poignant full-circle moment.
