Love Island star shares health update after scary hospital dash

Love Island's Wes Nelson has shared how he was rushed to hospital after he "randomly" started to lose his vision and consciousness at home. The 2018 star, who came fourth in the dating show with his now ex-girlfiend Megan Barton-Hanson, reassured fans he was "all good" after undergoing tests.

The 25-year-old shared the scary ordeal with his 1.4 million Instagram followers on Monday, May 8. Posting a picture from his hospital bed, he wrote: "So yesterday I randomly started to lose vision/consciousness in my house!"

Revealing that he was able to get over to his neighbour's house, Wes continued: "Managed to get to my neighbours who took care of me and got me to hospital in the ambulance.

"Won't go into detail but we did a bunch of tests and throughout the day and they've told me I'm all good now."

Reality television star turned singer-songwriter Wes then explained how he was feeling well enough to embark on his 14-date tour of the UK and Ireland. His tour includes dates in cities such as Newcastle, Manchester, Dublin and London, and is set to kick off in Glasgow on Tuesday, May 9.

According to OK! Online, Wes turned to singing and songwriting after his Love Island stint and landed a record deal EMI Records in August 2020.

In September 2020, he released his debut single, See Nobody, with Hardy Caprio, which made it to third place in the UK Singles Chart and ninth in the Irish Singles Chart. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
