Love Island star Remi Lambert claims he was assaulted by one of Jacques O'Neill's friends

Former Love Island star Remi Lambert has accused one of Jacques O'Neill's friends of assaulting him outside of a nightclub.

The 23-year-old took to his Instagram Story on Sunday to claim he was "punched" by the alleged assailant and urged anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Remi said Jacques also started an argument with him about their time in the villa, after the pair came to blows during their stint on the ITV show in a slew of unaired rows.

Remi has previously spoken about how his experience on Love Island was "ruined" by Jacques and slammed the rugby player for "all the stress" he put him through in the villa.

Taking to social media, Remi said: "Wasn't going to bring this up but this has gone too far now.

"Last night I was assaulted by one of Jacque's friends. Jacques and him followed me on my walk back home from the club and stopped me.

"Then Jacques began to start a argument about the love island beef that was a year ago. Clearly can't move on. Out of nowhere his friend punched me.

"I think it was a setup to get me to react but I'm too mature for this bs."

Remi didn't specify which club the alleged assault took place outside of. He urged his followers: "If anyone saw anything last night message me."

Yesterday, Remi shared a picture while walking along a street at night and wrote: "Karma will get you."

The star previously issued a statement regarding the bullying row involving himself, Jacques and Luca Bish.

The reality TV star thanked his fans for their support, and slammed Jacques and Luca for "still mocking me after all the stress they put me through in that villa", after the two stars seemingly ridiculed Remi during an Instagram Live back in August.

"Thankful for all of the support I'm getting," Remi began in the first of two Instagram posts.

"Letting yous know that I'm getting better each day. The negativity won't stop me. Life's too short to not do things you love."

He then went on to write: "Appreciate the hate as well. Gives me the drive to improve. Never said my raps are good but I know what capable of.

"I've Only been rapping for a year. We all start somewhere. The problem isn't just the live they did. The problem is they're still mocking me after all the stress they put me through in that villa.

"Constant abuse. Shown them nothing but respect too. Absolute joke."
