Love Island star lifts lid on how final is filmed with stars sent to secret second villa

Love Island star Chloe Burrows has opened up about the final days in the lead up to the final of the ITV2 show and how the dramatic last episode is filmed.

The 26-year-old shot to fame on the seventh series of Love Island last year after an on and off relationship with current boyfriend Toby Aromolaran.

This year's explosive final is set to air on Monday evening, with the final four couples decided on Saturday’s instalment – although Indiyah Pollack and Dami Hope are already through.

The race to find the winners of this year’s show got personal on Friday as the contestants separated into their couples to discuss the state of the other relationships.

It came just days before the final, where one of the remaining five couples will be crowned the winners of Love Island 2022 and take home the £50,000 prize.

Chloe has now looked back on her final days in the final, one year on from her own final, which saw Millie Court and Liam Reardon crowned winners.

Chloe said: “It happens over two days. You wake up on your last morning in the villa and you have to go and pack all your bags and that takes absolutely ages because some of us have been there for eight weeks. I remember Toby left with seven suitcases.

“You are then moved to a holding villa in your couples and you have a chaperone.

“We ate McDonald's and just sat and watched Netflix, but obviously you're supervised so you can't go onto the internet.

Chloe added to OK! Magazine : “The next morning they send in the biggest glam squad you've ever seen and then they ship you back to the main villa and you just wait around until the live final.”

This comes after Love Island fans believe they have worked out which of the current couples could be axed ahead of the final, after the public were asked to cast their vote.

Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti were voted least compatible alongside Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, and Paige Thorne and Adam Collard – putting them all at risk after nearly eight weeks of the ITV dating show.

However, Love Island fans now believe Adam and Paige will be the pair sent packing after an apparent hint in the final episode of Love Island’s Unseen Bits.

In one clip, the couples were seen gathering to talk on the bean bags and as the Islanders chatted, viewers noticed that Adam was sitting on the notorious yellow bean bag.

This series has seen the Islanders obsess over the piece of garden furniture, with many of the boys and girls refusing to sit on the beanbag, as they're convinced it is cursed.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
