Love Island star Liam Llewellyn's 'worst fear' came true on the show - and now his dad's flown out to support him

After his "worst fear" was realised and he left the villa, Love Island star Liam Llewellyn's dad has flown to Mallorca to support him as he returns to normal life.

Liam, a 22-year-old student from Wales, told his fellow contestants: "Obviously we all came here for the same reason but I haven't really been feeling I have been giving 100% Liam. I know what 100% Liam looks like and I am miles off that."

BirminghamLive reported how fellow contestant Tasha said: "I absolutely adore Liam and I hope he does find someone special one day. We will definitely have a cheers to Liam tonight because he will definitely be missed."

The reality TV shows contestants - who are closing in on the end of their first week on the show - were in tears as they said their goodbyes. "Liam’s confidence was totally knocked when he lost Gemma so when he then also didn’t manage to catch Ekin-Su or Afia’s eye he started to totally overthink everything he did," a source explained to the Sun newspaper.

"He just began to worry about everything and then felt guilty that he wasn’t enjoying the whole experience like he felt he was meant to, so called it quits. At this point Liam feels really upset. His dad David flew straight out to Majorca to be with him."

Before heading into the villa, Liam admitted his worst fear was being left single. He said: "Something I am most nervous about is probably the feeling of not being wanted in a recoupling or something, not being picked," he explained.

"Everyone wants to be wanted, and wants to be picked. So it’s the feeling of not being picked that is a nerve-wracking thought for me. It puts you in a vulnerable position and that’s in front of the whole world."
