Love Island star Laura Anderson thanks St Joseph as actor boyfriend survives horror St Stephen's Day crash

Actor Gary Lucy has survived a horror car crash and said that someone was “watching over” him.

The Hollyoaks star shared pictures of the smash and his trip to hospital afterwards.

His car was left wrecked after the St Stephen’s Day collision and he shared pictures of it on Instagram.

Gary, 41, spent the day in hospital, leaving in the evening on a pair of crutches.

His girlfriend, Love Island’s Laura Anderson, also posted pictures on social media, showing him in hospital and returning home. Sharing a collage of snaps, Laura wrote: “The exciting life of the Luce. Always keeping me on my toes.”

The pictures showed Gary’s smashed car at 10am, him in hospital at 11am, departing on crutches at 6pm and then resting at home, reports OK!

Laura also posted a short video of herself leaving hospital with the actor, which she captioned: “Gary 9lives.” The performer, who has four children with his ex-wife Natasha Gray, met the Love Island star when they both appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating.

Laura, 33, also posted a laminated card of St Joseph as she explained it was given to Gary by his grandmother.

She wrote: “We’re not religious but thank you St Joseph for saving my love.

“Gary’s gran gave him this. It has words about safety and protection on the other side.”
