Love Island is set to air chaotic scenes on July 8 following the dramatic fallout to the latest recoupling. Jacques O'Neill could exit the villa and quit the series, after hinting that his time on the ITV2 show was up following a showdown with partner Paige Thorne.
Three couples stuck together in the recoupling, as the rest of the islanders ditched their partners for new bombshells - before the main villa and Casa Amor were reunited.
However, one of the three couples was Jacques and Paige, who were rocked by a revelation following their reunion. Just as the pair sat down at the infamous fire pit and shared a kiss, they were shocked when bombshell Cheyanne Kerr revealed that she thought she had a connection with him, The Mirror writes.
Cheyanne thought that there was a chance he would pick her and not Paige, and told Paige how they had kissed and shared a bed. The revelation led to Paige and Jacques having a heated chat, but she soon stormed away from him when he did not seem to be fighting for their romance - and he made a remark about them "both being single".
Their conflict will continue in the next episode, when she asks him exactly what he's been up to. A preview clip for Friday night's episode has teased the aftermath of the recoupling, and there is high drama ahead as islanders are confronted over their actions.
In the clip, Jacques breaks down in tears after a row with Paige and hints he wants to leave the show for good. Speaking to Luca Bish, Jacques sobs before telling him: "There's no point me being here."
As Luca vows that Paige will forgive him, not wanting him to leave, he says: "I won't let her forgive me."
So is Jacques about to leave the villa for good, with him hinting that there won't be a reunion for him and Paige?
Fans questioned the moment on Twitter, with one writing: "wait hold on is jacques gonna leave the villa tomorrow or am i just overthinking?"
Another said: "DOES THAT MEAN JACQUES IS GONNA LEAVE THE VILLA?"
A third wrote: "did i just see Jax cry & threaten to leave the villa? or am i just going crazy?"
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
