Dr Alex George says mellow music always helps his stay positive after landing a great new gig on Classic FM.
The former Love Island star, 31, will host Uplifting Classics with Dr Alex George across six weeks.
It's big news Dr Alex who says it will be a brand new positivity series and he clearly can't wait to get to work.
He knows about the power of music and mindset after a heartbreaking few years.
The former reality favourite was left broken after his younger brother took his own life in July 2020 after a long battle with his mental health.
Since Llyr's devastating death, Dr Alex has worked tirelessly to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
He says music has helped keep his spirits high and is looking forward to the opportunity with the first show launching on Sunday night.
Alex wants people to tune in and announced: "I am so excited to be returning to Classic FM for this brand new series. I listen to classical music every day, and I find it such a positive and uplifting influence on my mood and productivity.
"I know how difficult January can be for many, and so to be able to share some of the greatest Uplifting Classics every week and help boost the mood of Classic FM’s listeners is a privilege.
"I really hope that during the next six weeks, I can spread my passion for classical music, share helpful advice on staying positive when times are tough, and get the nation feeling good for 2023."
Dr Alex explained this month how he quit booze weeks before Christmas.
He told how he didn't have an issue with alcohol prior to adopting a sober lifestyle last month, but would rather spend his money on other things after saving a four-figure sum thanks to opting out of festive drinking habits.
Alex - who is Ambassador for Mental Health for the government - recalled how he probably drunk alcohol once or twice a week previously, and mused how the drinking culture in the UK is so auto enrolled to include booze.
The GP sang the praises of his new sober lifestyle on BBC Breakfast and shared exactly how much he has saved since he stopped subjecting himself to bouts of 'hangover anxiety'.
"I've done research and alcohol is so expensive, for a nice beer in Manchester or London it's so expensive and giving up before Christmas was great," he said.
"I was looking last night and I think I've saved £1,000 in the last month between cabs, the food you eat after and the drink, it's so expensive and I'd rather spend that on other things."
