Love Island set for recoupling and brutal dumping less than 24 hours apart

Love Island is set for an explosive episode as contestants will face a recoupling and a dumping less than 24 hours apart.

The ITV2 dating show will air a dramatic recoupling in tonight's episode, as the boys choose who they want to partner up with. However, after the islanders have recovered from that, they will also find out that the public have been voting - leaving one person at risk of being dumped.

Earlier in the week, Jacques O'Neill dramatically left the villa in a heartbreaking episode, leaving his partner Paige Thorne single. Tonight, the boys are set to choose who they want to couple up with, as many pairings are set to change after Casa Amor, writes the Mirror.

New bombshell Adam Collard will be first to decide who to couple up with - and he could cause havoc with his choice.

There is excitement around the firepit as some of the couples who split up in Casa Amor - Indiyah and Dami and Tasha and Andrew - are likely plotting their reunion, whilst for others there's apprehension as they wonder what might be next for them.

Making his choice, Adam tells his fellow Islanders: "From the moment I came in here, she made me feel most welcome."

There is also lots of romantic words and gestures, as one islander says: "I absolutely adore her and I find myself always wanting to be around her. When I miss her the feeling is unbearable," whilst another male Islander talks about his future with his girl, adding: "Every day, day by day we are always more and more sure about our future together."

Later on in the day, just as the islanders settle into their new couples, they are dealt the news that there will be a dumping too, lead by the public who have been voting for their favourite Islanders.

Ekin-Su receives a text message asking all islanders to gather at the fire pit, and shocked, they soon realise that the public have been voting - and some of them are at risk of heading home.

"The public have been voting for their favourite girl and their favourite boy. Those with the fewest votes are at risk of being dumped from the Island tonight," the text Adam receives reads.

Elsewhere on the show, the boys take on the girls in a fun filled challenge at the the Lips Inn pub. They are tasked with racing against one another to fill up huge empty pint glasses, as they slip and slide and hope to fill up their pint glasses quicker than the other team.

There's fighting talk as Danica says: "Us girls do not hold back on a challenge!" whilst Andrew gloats about his own efforts, as he adds: "Go in hard and fast - I think I did alright!"

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
