Love Island sees huge plot twist as couples forced to vote each other off in dramatic cliff-hanger

Love Island viewers were left gripped on Friday evening - after a shock twist saw the couples told to vote for the least compatible pairing.

We're down to the final five couples in the villa ahead of Monday evening's finale and things got off to a sweet start tonight after an adorable edition on Thursday night.

The final dates continued with Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, who were wined and dined amongst a Kardashian-inspired giant 3D heart made entirely of red roses.

Reflecting on their time in the villa, Tasha says: "I never thought I’d ask a guy to be my boyfriend.

"I felt it had to be me to do it, to prove to you, to show you, I’m willing to do this, I’m ready to be 100% for you and all for you. That shows to me how it should be."

Luca Bish and Gemma Owen also enjoyed their final date in a private courtyard where they were serenaded by a six-piece ensemble.

Speaking about their future plans, Luca adds: “I feel like we know what we are anyway, and we ain’t put a label on it, but obviously one of them surprises (back home) might be putting a label on it when we’re ready."

Things were going so well - until the Islanders got a text asking them to decide which couples among them were the least compatible

Davide and Ekin-Su, Andrew and Tasha, Luca and Gemma, Dami and Indiyah and Adam and Paige had to deliberate in their couples and submit their decisions by text without discussing it with the other couples.

In the end, it was only Dami and Indiyah safe from the public vote.
