Love Island’s Zara says her DMs are 'full of famous guys' after 'fake romance' claims

Love Island star Zara Lackenby-Brown has defended her former romance with co-star Jordan Odofin, whilst revealing her DMs on social media are "full of famous guys".

The Londoner began dating the Love Island hunk after both of their times in the villa had come to an end, although the pair never actually met whilst filming in South Africa.

The couple's romance was short lived, with the pair confirming that the relationship is nothing more than a "friendship" in separate statements last month. Fans speculated that the relationship may have been "fake" and a ploy to grab attention, which both Zara and Jordan have denied.

Zara confirmed she is single when speaking to The Sun, as she said: "I'm single, I'm living my best life.

"What a lovely boy, I can't fault Jordan - we were dating and like when you just realise that there is not that romantic spark but it's all good, we're friends.

"I want the best for him, he wants the best for me, we have a lot of mutual respect for each other."

Commenting on the allegations from fans that the pair's romance after the villa was a lie, she stated: "It wasn't fake - I heard that rumour. Someone said he said that, he never said that. Why would we fake it? We have nothing to fake."

A spokesperson for Jordan told The Mirror: "Jordan met Zara for the first time after exiting the house, they quickly realised they had good chemistry and enjoyed each other's company. Currently they are just friends and where this will head is up to time and fate".

The Londoner also revealed that she's had a few flirty messages since leaving the villa from famous figures, as she coyly added: "A few eligible bachelors in the DMs but I'm focusing on myself right now, yes some famous people - but that was my life before, I had guys in my DMs before so that's nothing new for me.

"It doesn't excite me - it's about the personality and the heart, not the blue tick."

Zara entered the last season of Love Island on day three as a bombshell and made a beeline for Tom Clare. However, she was quickly dumped from the villa when Tom made a play for Ellie Spencer instead.
