Love Island's Tasha slams 'nasty' Zara scene that 'should not have aired'

Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has hit out at uncomfortable scenes on Friday's episode which she claims 'should not have aired'.

Tasha, who starred on the 2022 series, made the bold suggestion as she stood up for bombshell Zara Lackenby-Brown

Zara has ruffled feathers during her time in the winter villa after admitting to have feelings for the coupled up guys and coming to blows with rival Olivia Hawkins on numerous occasions.

The tension between the girls boiled over during a brutal game of Truth or Dare on Friday's show.

During the game, Zara's co-stars picked her as the most likely to talk behind someone's back and branded her romance with Tom as the 'least compatible.'

Tom was then asked to choose aspects of the female islanders to create his 'perfect' woman, something that also riled an increasingly upset Zara.

Footballer Tom picked Olivia for her face, Zara for her body and Lana for her personality.

In the aftermath of the revelations, Zara was seen close to tears as she hit out at Tom's explanation in a preview for Sunday's show.

"No, I just can't be a***d. All the girls picked Tom. Liv picked Tom like twice. He picked Liv's face. I'm not just some f*****g booty to you," she fumed.

Last year's finalist Tasha tweeted her support as she watched the uncomfortable scenes unfold.

"Zara gal keep your head held high, that game legit turned nasty for no reason," said Tasha.

"Sometimes these games literally go too far and shouldn’t be aired tbh," she added.

Viewers at home seemed equally concerned for the star.

"Well said Tasha. So many of them were being passive aggressive & nasty," replied one of Tasha's followers.

Her fellow 2022 contestant Dami Hope shared a similar sentiment as he tweeted along with the show.

"Nah they need to leave Zara alone wtf," he posted.

"The wind has shifted my girls eyelash, I’m backing Zara now," added the star.

One of Tasha's followers disagreed.

"Tbh I'm kind of glad they did. It shun a light on the toxic environment Zara is in. She doesn't have any friends or support system in there- something I suspected from the last few episodes," they chimed in.

Tasha's voice of concern comes after she was involved in one of the biggest scandals of the last series.

Some of the male stars were accused of bullying Tasha after she was left in tears by their response to one of the show's games.

The bullying claims started after a game of Suck and Blow, which saw two of the male islanders making digs at Tasha who ended up in crying.

This received 351 Ofcom complaints - however the challenge Snog, Marry, Pie is where the outrage peaked and over 1,500 viewers contacted the regulator.

Tasha was pied in the face by Luca Bish and Dami Hope and branded fake and a 'game player.'
