Shaughna Phillips has opened up about her pregnancy, admitting she's not coping with the side effects she's suffering each day.
The Love Island star announced on Wednesday (October 19), that she was expecting her first child, days after collapsing at the National Television Awards.
Shaughna, 28, first discovered she was pregnant in August, just days after she had returned from Majorca for the Love Island final and was left speechless.
However, she has revealed that she had no idea about her pregnancy and went through several tests to make sure she hadn't "read it wrong".
Following an eyelash appointment, Shaughna admits that the only tell-tale signs were her desire to nap, with her lash technician explaining that is something she also experiences.
Speaking about sharing the news with her boyfriend, who she has been with since 2020, she told OK! Magazine: "He was working so I rang him and I was like, 'Are you on your own?' He was like, 'Yeah...' I said, 'I'm pregnant,' and he was like, 'OK, alright then.'
"I think it took him a minute for it to sink in. It was just a complete shock for both of us."
Ahead of her interview with the publication, the star said she had been throwing up in the back of her taxi leaving her driver completely speechless.
However, she went on to reveal that she had travelled with a sick bag to be on the safe side, should she have needed it.
Despite her blossoming romance and starting a family, Shaughna's boyfriend has expressed his desire to not be in the public eye, so she has made a conscious effort to not share his name or a snap of him.
Reflecting on their relationship, she said that the pair have known one another for several years but were both in relationships at the same time.
"We got together romantically around the summer of 2020, it was around the time things started to open again after lockdown and we could mingle," she explained before saying her beau swiftly moved into her flat.
Despite being excited about her pregnancy, the reality starlet has no desire on finding out the gender of her unborn child due to "logistical reasons".
Currently, the soon-to-be parents are living at Shaughna's parent's house and she admits she would "go nuts buying everything in pink and blue".
But, she admits that she's "manifesting" a baby girl but expressed her apology if she has a son who reads her interview in his lifetime.
Should she have a son, she plans to name the tot after his dad, while his middle name will be Edward - paying homage to her dad but she doesn't want to share her name choices for a girl.
