Love Island's Paige Turley says Tasha Ghouri will 'make an impact' after landing dream job

Former Love Island winner Paige Turley hopes this year's contestant Tasha Ghouri will "make an impact on things" after signing a deal with eBay to become their first pre-loved ambassador.

In a bid to become more sustainable this season, Love Island partnered with eBay, encouraging the Islanders to wear pre-loved clothes while in the villa. Tasha's deal is the first non-fast fashion brand partnership to come out of the ITV2 dating show.

Paige, who won the winter version of Love Island in 2020 alongside boyfriend Finn Tapp, has recently partnered with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and said Tasha's deal is inspirational.

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, she said: "I think it’s great. Maybe it is a change in the times from here on in and hopefully it makes an impact on things.

"It’s really good and we’re super happy for her."

Tasha, who came fourth on Love Island alongside partner Andrew Le Page announced the partnership on Instagram.

She posted a series of promotional photos and said: "I am over the moon to announce I am @ebay_uk first ever pre-loved ambassador.

"Prior to Love Island, I've always bought secondhand for my wardrobe, so partnering with # eBay really is a dream come true.

"I feel passionately that we can all make little swaps to our wardrobes and our lives for the better and so I’m excited to join eBay on their mission to put secondhand fashion front and centre."

She added: "Plus I’d like to think that over the last 8 weeks I have shown that pre-loved serves up amazing looks while bringing out my personality!"

Paige and Finn have recently been working with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home to try and promote the organisation and help rehome some of the animals. They shared pictures of their work with their millions of Instagram followers.

Paige said she has been desperate for a dog and said the couple would rather adopt than buy a new puppy.

"We kind of thought, ‘Right, well why don’t we go and visit Battersea and just get a feel for some of the animals and while we’re at it we can also promote Battersea and some of the dogs that they have for other people'."

Finn added: "I think people love seeing stuff like that and it’s about using our platform to try and get the organisation and what Battersea do out to as many people as possible."

Paige said they feel very blessed for the platforms they have and want to use them in the correct way.

"It’s great fun us showing our holidays, or whatever we’re getting up to, but we also can be influential to young people.

"We wanted to just make sure that we’re showing good stuff, charity work, as well as our nice holidays and whatever else.”

Finn said: "I think, when you find a charity that’s really suited to you and something that you’re passionate about, I think that’s the main thing.”
