Love Island's Paige teases 'potential' with Adam as Jacques waits at home for her

Love Island's Paige Thorne has made a big decision about Adam Collard - as Jacques O'Neill waits for her at home.

Rugby player Jacques departed the show early after deciding he wasn't being himself on the show, leaving Paige single - but Adam had not long entered the villa and set his sights on winning over the paramedic.

With Jacques now gone, Adam has decided to partner up with Paige in last night's dramatic recoupling, and in tonight's first look, Dami is quizzing Paige on how she's been feeling since Jacques' exit and whether she thinks her and Adam could be an item.

She tells Dami: "When Jacques was in here, we weren’t exactly the most perfect couple going on - there were some bumps in the road. That’s still not taking away the feelings and connection I had with him for sure.

"Since he’s been gone, I feel like everything happens for a reason. I’m enjoying my time getting to know Adam."

Dami then has a sweet statement for his friend Paige, as he encourages her to get to know Adam: "I’m enjoying seeing you happy. It just seems very natural for you guys. It’s nice to get to know him."

When asked if there's potential there for her and Adam one day, Paige admitted she was keen but wasn't sure if he was, adding: "Potential for me personally I would say yes. I don't know what he’s saying … which really infuriates me."

"He’s only saying good things man. He seems really set on you at this moment in time," Dami then replied.

Adam entered just hours before Jacques exited the ITV2 villa in a shock move.

Jacques and Paige had an emotional chat before he left (ITV)

In an emotional chat, Jacques said: "You’ve got to still enjoy your time here. Just do what you need to do and I’ll be waiting for you. I just know for us to work I need us to get back to myself and the only way I’m going to get back to myself is going home.

"I just feel like lately, I just can’t be myself. I’m trying my best but I’m not a fake person and I’m not going to start faking things and act like I’m okay when things inside aren’t actually okay. For me and Paige to work I need to be at my best and if that means removing myself from the situation and waiting for Paige when she gets out then that I’m going to do."
