Love Island's Paige in love triangle turmoil as viewers urge her to choose Jacques

Love Island's latest triangle, consisting of Swansea paramedic Paige Thorne, Jacques O'Neill and Jay Younger, continued to put viewers on the edge-of-their seats on Sunday June 26. As Paige tried to make up her mind on which boy she wanted to be with, she said: "I don't want to let this drag on for too long." A sceptical Jay seemed to want Paige to make her mind up as he said: "The way she keeps kissing Jacques makes me feel like a f***ing tool."

Earlier in the episode, Jay pulled Paige for a chat following the pair's shock Friday recoupling, which saw Jay choose Paige, who had been happily coupled with Jacques. Taking a seat on the sun loungers with her, he asked: “How are you feeling after the first night, sleeping without Jacques?” She replied: “Ah no it was all good, I enjoyed our pillow talk, it was nice to get to know each other". The paramedic, however, expressed her true feelings in the Beach Hut. She revealed: “It’s an awkward one because the boys - Jay and Jacques - you couldn’t get more opposite guys in here, really”.

"I'm lying in bed holding hands with Jacques whilst sleeping with Jay thinking what have I actually done," said Paige, as she admitted that she has "good conversations" with Scottish Islander Jay. Later in the episode, he echoed the same comments and said that that he thought, in time, the two would share the same "sense of humour".

Meanwhile, despite telling Paige that he didn't miss her, Jacques told Dami: "May the best man win" and opened up, saying that he "came in [the Love Island villa] to find a best friend" and that he'd found one in the Welsh Islander. Jacques' mother previously responded to comments on social media claiming her son was a "bully", which you can read about here.

Whilst this was happening, Paige told Jay: "I'm not with Jacques obviously, so it doesn't mean that the door is closed." Returning to the Beach Hut, Paige said: "It is a diffiicult situation because Jay is what I wanted on paper but then there's Jacques." A confused Paige said that the two "could not be compared".

The Sunday episode ended with Jacques telling Paige that he "didn't know he cared" until she shared a bed with Jay. The pair shared a kiss before heading back to their other partners.

Following the romantic moment, one social media user said: "If Jacques and Paige don’t win Love Island I’ll never watch it again". Their emotional chat at the end of the episode was praised by viewers and multiple people said: "I LOVE THEM". Someone even went as far as to say that Love Island should "crown them immediately".

On the other side of the fence, some people were more pessimistic and said: "I’m very scared for casa when it comes to Paige and Jacques". The same opinions were shared by someone else, who said that "Jacques 100% pawned Paige off because his competitive egotistic fragile masculine self wanted to “win” Paige over Jay and demonstrate he’s better than him".

Who do you think Paige will choose? Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm on Monday, June 27
