Love Island hopefuls Paige Thorne and Adam Collard were brutally dumped from the villa tonight - just one day before the 2022 final.
The two Islanders will miss out on being part of the big day after each of the couples were tasked with voting for the two least compatible pairs during Friday's episode
Fan favourites Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti received the most amount of votes after every other couple voted for them. Luca Bish and Gemma Owen, Paige Thorne and Adam Collard and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page also received votes, meaning all of them are also in danger of being dumped.
Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack received an automatic place in the final after none of the other couples voted them least compatible.
However, the couple that left tonight was out of the Islanders' hands as the public were tasked with voting to save their favourites, with the pair with the fewest votes dumped.
It comes after each of the couples sat down with her parents during the annual Meet The Parents instalment.
Paige spoke with her mum and dad about her time in the Love Island villa, which saw her dad admit he’s not been watching her on the ITV2 show and her mum say she’s “not buying” her relationship with Adam Collard.
The final week on the show saw the couples each enjoy their romantic final dates, with Ekin-Su and Davide treated to a serenade from Alfie Boe as they enjoyed an incredible candlelit date in a colosseum-style setting.
“I feel like I’m in a dream,” she told Davide, who toasted to themselves and said: “To our beautiful experience and hopefully we will last forever - it will last forever.”
Ekin-Su added: "This is probably the most romantic date I’ve ever been on in my life. I just can’t get over this. It’s everything I’ve always wanted."
Among the other epic dates included Adam and Paige chilling together on a lavish yacht, Dami and Indiyah dancing the day away in a fiesta, Gemma and Luca serenaded by a six-piece ensemble and T asha and Andrew's Kardashian-style dinner.
Love Island fans were left saying the same thing on Saturday evening as the ITV2 dating show aired a clip of Ekin-Su and Davide on Unseen Bits.
The fan favourite couple were seen play-fighting on the sunbeds over a bottle of sun cream earlier in the week in a clip that left viewers in stitches - after they were voted the least compatible couple by their fellow Love Islanders.
Yet after the Islanders all voted for the couple, who are strongly tipped to be winners of the series, as the least compatible, many fans were left fuming after the Unseen Bits clip.
Taking to Twitter to point to it as an obvious example of the couple’s chemistry, one fan wrote: “Currently wondering why everyone in the villa voted Ekin and Davide out/ least compatible… the sun cream ordeal was so cute and funny.”
A second wrote: “Watching unseen bits and the genuine laughter and connection between Ekin and Davide I know the other islanders voted strategically last night. Least compatible where!?”
