The episode the public has been waiting for finally arrived on Friday, July 15, as the Love Island's movie night made its long-awaited return with an almighty bang.
The activity, which has been a regular slot on the show over the years and has been the cause of many-a-drama, showcases the secret - and not-so-secret - betrayals, stolen kisses and conversations had from the start of the series to now - including the show's biggest twist: Casa Amor.
The first clip, named 'I know what Ekin-Su did last summer' saw 27-year-old Ekin-Su, who is coupled up with Davide, sharing a bed with George Tasker in Casa Amor having a moment underneath the covers - which she kept to herself. Telling him they are just friends, the next morning she is seen asking him to keep quiet.
Upon witnessing this, Davide is not too pleased with another of Ekin-Su's lies and pulls out one of his most renowned one-lliners: "You're a liar."
But it was the next video clip, which saw Gemma's feelings for Luca examined, that brought the most drama.
Titled 'She's Just Not That Into You', the movie's first half saw Dami supposedly reading the daughter of the football legend Michael Owen's true feelings. The second part, however, saw Billy and Gemma flirting with eachother in the Villa kitchen, with Billy Brown offering to feed the 19-year-old international dressage rider crisps and offering a hug.
Luca was "livid" upon seeing this scenario play out. "I've been made out to look like a p****," he said. Billy reassured him it wasn't that deep, but Luca wasn't having any of it. Annoyed at the Casa Amor newcomer's actions, he told the boys he would "100% be bringing that up" with Gemma, who he said he loved in the previous day's episode.
Viewers took to Twitter to voice their reaction at a spanner being thrown in the works for the Island's strongest couple.
One said: "Luca reacted worse than Jacques would. Honestly I think he’s in the love bombing phase with Gemma. If she actually liked him I would tell her watch out #loveisland"
While @savvyskirby said: "Luca’s fears of Gemma being not that into him and their one sided relationship has just been reinforced in the clip thats why he overreacted #Loveisland"
@Auntyfeyi added: "Even Luca and Gemma are shaky. This season’s Love Island is chaotic!! No solid relationship #LoveIsland". Another fan wrote on the social media platform: "I don’t know what Luca is so upset about. Gemma didn’t do much or anything."
The remaining islanders will have their dirty laundry aired on the episode airing on Sunday, July 17. The movie night revelations came not long after the villa had been rocked when Josh Samuel Le Grove and Coco Lodge became the latest Islanders to be 'dumped' from the reality television show following a public vote.
After a recoupling that same evening, three of the girls - Summer Botwe, Coco and Tasha Ghouri - and three boys - Josh, Deji Adeniyi and Andrew Le Page - were voted as the public's least favourite Islanders and therefore at risk of being dumped from the villa.
This came as a shock to Tasha and Andrew who earlier that night had made things official, becoming boyfriend and girlfriend after a 'proposal' from the 23-year-old dancer - the first pair to do so in this season. Later in the episode they were seen declaring their love for one another in bed.
A text sent to Ekin-Su revealed that Josh, who was previously coupled up with Danica and recently Summer, received the fewest votes from the public and therefore going home. "I knew that was coming bro. I knew it was coming," he whispered under his breath.
New boy Adam Collard, who coupled up with Paige, received a text saying the girl with the fewest votes who would be dumped from the Island was Coco. "I'm okay," she was seen saying to Tasha.
Coco was coupled up with Andrew before the latest recoupling when he picked her over Tasha as a result of his head turning in Casa Amor. However, over the last week, since Tasha's return from the other villa, Andrew and her gravitated towards eachother once again and reunited, leaving Coco essentially single.
Packing up her things, Coco says to the girls: "I'm okay. I think it was the time, because there's no-one in here for me."
Viewers couldn't believe the result, with many taking to Twitter to voice their thoughts - some saying how Tasha and Andrew should have gone due to the fact that this wasn't the first time the pair were in the bottom three.
One Twitter user said: "There should be a limit on how many times you can be in the bottom before getting sent home, Andrew and Tasha have had too many chances #loveisland"
Another added: "Josh needed to go aswell tbh him and summer are so annoying together #LoveIsland"
While @LunarBeige said: "Literally not going to miss either of them, neeextttt #LoveIsland",
@pettypino added: "Of course it was gonna be Coco and Josh dumped loveisland"
The couples now remaining in the villa are Adam and Paige, Andrew and Tasha, Billy and Danica, Dami and Indiyah, Luca and Gemma, Davide and Ekin-Su. Deji and Summer's partners are no longer in the villa, meaning they are single.
Love Island continues on Sunday, July 17 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
