Love Island's Molly doesn't see Zach and Kady romance going anywhere after brutal twist

Molly Marsh has opened up about whether or not she thinks her love rival Kady McDermott and former beau Zachariah Noble have a chance of making their new connection work.

The actress – who was one of the favourites to win the ITV2 series – was brutally axed after new bombshell Kady, 27, chose to couple up with Zach, 25, leaving Molly dumped from the Island in a brutal twist.

Friday evening's explosive episode left viewers stunned into silence as Zach switched allegiance to Kady and hugged her amidst the fire pit drama.

Kady, who first appeared in season two of the show and has returned as a bombshell, was barely in the villa for 24 hours when the Islanders were told to gather around the fire pit for a re-coupling.

The 27-year-old was tasked with 'stealing' a guy and, as she admitted that as she hadn't had time to get to know the boys, she went off "initial attraction", opting to couple up with Zach and splitting him from Molly.

As the initial shock set in, Molly’s phone then pinged – and she read out a text telling her that as she was newly single and had been dumped from the villa immediately, leaving everyone utterly speechless.

Despite being brutally ditched, 21-year-old Yorkshire lass Molly said she still wants to be with Zach and has given her thoughts on his new partner.

Molly said: "I actually don’t see it going anywhere.

"I know Kady mentioned these traits in a guy she wanted and Zach does fit those traits – mature, relaxed and all of that.

"So we’ll see with that and if there is something there then there is and it’s meant to be but I’m hoping there’s not.

"I wish I’d spoken to Zach to say, 'I’ll be waiting. I really want this to carry on.' But no words could come out of my mouth. I was so speechless!"

After Molly’s shock dumping, viewers were equal parts stunned and impressed with the plot twist and rushed to social media to discuss the drama.

One wrote: "That has to have been the most brutal dumping ever."

Another user said: " Love Island saw their ratings were low at the beginning of the season and went full on demon mode."

"Can't lie the producers might have done something with that twist," a third user said while another posted: "Omg that was brutal! I’m loving this series."

One person joked it was 'cruel', writing: "Nah that was evil, sis was already sad her man was taken away from her? But to dump her from the island? Hitting her with that malin season 2 finisher ? Cruel."

"Love Island is back in RARE FORM this season," another impressed fan said.
