Love Island alum Mollie Salmon has said that she's experiencing "bruising and swelling" on her face as she recovers from having so-called 'fox eye' surgery.
The former islander, 24 - who appeared on the popular ITV2 show last summer - is understood to have undergone the procedure at Mono Clinic in Turkey just days ago.
The cosmetic procedure - which seems to have proved popular in recent years - is said to involve lifting the eyebrows and the corners of the eyes.
Mollie has shared updates with her followers on Instagram since undergoing it, including revealing that she has been experiencing "bruising and swelling" whilst recovering.
She said: "My surgery went well and [the clinic] have done a wonderful job looking after me with the help of my best friend [Hollie]. I truly couldn't have done this without her".
Mollie continued: "I am very swollen and am struggling to currently see out of my eyes as that's where the surgery was so I just wanted to let you all know I'm not ignoring anyone."
The former islander took the opportunity to express gratitude to her fans, saying: "Thank you for all the lovely messages. I'll give you all recovering update pictures soon."
And she later issued a subsequent update, sharing a photo that appeared to show swelling around one of her eyes, with her seemingly now bandaged up after recent procedure.
She wrote alongside it: "I promised I'd take you all along this journey with me. This is my current healing process, my bruising and swelling will go down after a few days."
The reality TV star confirmed the procedure itself in the post, which she uploaded to her Instagram Story yesterday. She told her followers: "The procedure I had was fox eyes."
She had teased the procedure earlier this week, writing alongside a photo of herself: "Last outing before my surgery". She tagged herself as being in Turkey in the post.
Mollie isn't the only celebrity to have pursued the 'fox eye' trend in recent years, with Katie Price said to have undergone a similar procedure at a clinic abroad in 2021.
Chloe Ferry is said to have had a 'fox eye lift' last year and later described it as one of her "biggest mistakes". She's said to have ended up in hospital after developing an infection.
The Geordie Shore alum has warned others against having the procedure she had, with her having said that it left her scarred and sporting a "dint" on the side of her face.
