Despite it being less than two weeks until she is expected to make her Love Island debut, Maya Jama has not had the most glamorous start to 2023. The Bristolian presenter is currently making some time for rest as she fights a nasty cold after throwing a huge New Year's Eve party.
On Saturday night, 27-year-old Maya partied hard at live music venue and nightclub Koko in Camden. The star danced 2022 away in a very sparkly bralette and skirt combo, with a feathery jacket draped on her arms.
Hours after 2023 arrived, Love Island released another trailer featuring Maya, ahead of the second ever winter series airing later this month. Maya teases fans in the trailer as she sits on a diamanté-embellished bucking bronco, telling viewers that it's 'time to grab love by the horns'.

As Maya stuns in a dazzling celestial-print jumpsuit, she says: "It's about time. Get up and take control."
"If you roll the dice, you can have it all. You've got to take a hold of love. It's time to grab love by the horns," Maya says, riding the bucking bronco. "I'm ready. Are you?"
Ahead of her highly-anticipated Love Island debut, Maya joked that she is 'fighting for her life' with a cold she's picked up, showing fans that she has been drinking ginger shots and a hot lemon tea in a bid to fight off the virus. Maya has time to make a recovery from the nasty cold, as the second winter series of Love Island is expected to land on our screens on Monday, January 16.
An official start date is yet to be confirmed, though, as the hit ITV2 reality show returns to South Africa, rather than its usual summer holiday spot of Majorca. Maya's new role as the presenter of the show was announced by ITV bosses in October, following Laura Whitmore's departure in the summer.
