Love Island drew to a close last night, March 13, as host Maya Jama sashayed into the luxury South African villa to crown the series nine winners. Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were announced as the victorious couple, beating Ron and Lana, Tanya and Shaq and Samie and Tom to make history as the first Casa Amor couple to win the show.
Before PE teacher Kai and social worker Sanam claimed victory, Maya sat down with them to chat about their time in the villa. Whilst Kai entered the villa on day one, Sanam joined at a considerably later date on day 29, alongside bombshells Layla, Lydia, Lynda, Cynthia, and Sammy.
Prior to coupling up with Sanam, Kai was with actor and ring girl Olivia. Whilst questioning the winning couple, Maya couldn't help but ask about Kai's former flame, The Mirror reports.

When Maya brought up Kai's past relationship with Olivia, who she was forced to silence on a recent episode of Aftersun, Kai and Sanam were quick to pull a face. The Bristolian presenter scolded the pair, telling them under her breath: "Don't do that face."
Viewers pointed out the telling off Kai and Sanam received from Maya on social media, with many finding the situation very funny.
Shortly after chatting with Kai and Sanam, Maya revealed that the couple had won the series - Ron and Lana followed in second place, Tom and Samie in third and Tanya and Shaq in fourth. Kai and Sanam could not quite believe their victory, with Kai holding his hands to his head as he looked shocked.
Monday night's final came a day after the last elimination of series nine, with Will and Jessie sent packing. But fans were left feeling frustrated after a couple of blunders revealed the couple had been dumped from the villa before they had found out themselves.
In a video Maya posted to Instagram, fans noticed Jessie and Will standing in the back of the Aftersun set, with further insult added to injury when ITV aired a clip of Maya telling viewers that she had been chatting with dumped islanders Will and Jessie and Casey and Rosie.
