Love Island's Lucinda confirms reunion with Brad as she downplays Aaron romance

Love Island's Lucinda Strafford says it's "early days" as she and co-star Brad McClelland are getting cosy again after leaving the show.

The pair were pictured hand-in-hand on a date, with her now confirming they are seeing where things go.

Lucinda and Brad were torn apart when Brad left the villa early last month, with Lucinda opting to stay behind.

She soon cracked on with Aaron Francis and Danny Bibby, before she and Aaron were dumped just over a week ago.

Since leaving the villa, Lucinda and Aaron have called time on their romance despite things heating up in the villa.

The pair have downplayed their romance too, suggesting there was nothing to it as they were only coupled up for a few days.

Instead, Lucinda is now hoping to pursue a romance with Brad again after their time together was cut short.

Speaking to Christine Lampard on Lorraine on Monday, Lucinda revealed her hopes for things to work out this time around.

Confirming they are back on, she said: "Yeah, I met up with Brad. It is still really early stages at the moment but yeah, we're seeing where things go!"

On their connection, she added: "Yeah, I did have a really good connection with Brad in there. Unfortunately time got cut short.

"He was so mature and such a gentleman but yeah... early, early stages. It's all up in the air at the moment."

Meanwhile, the Islander and Aaron were quick to downplay any split drama as they'd only been together for a matter of days.

As Christine asked if the pair were in the friend zone, they laughed it off before staring awkwardly at each other.

Aaron then explained the situation, telling the presenter: "Yeah, I mean we came out and obviously we were only coupled up for three or four days."

Christine said how fans would forget how short it had been for them, with Aaron adding: "When you think about it we're like, alright guys calm down! But obviously it is easy to misinterpret."

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
